For consumers
Registered motor vehicle traders have obligations to consumers. You can search the Motor Vehicle Trader Register to find out which traders are registered, or check if a particular person or entity has been banned from trading.
You're also protected by the Motor Vehicle Sales Act, the Fair Trading Act and the Consumer Guarantees Act. Which agency you should contact depends on the nature of your complaint or problem.
