The new portal updates our system technology and improves security. All registration details have been transferred into the new register. If you previously had an account to access our old online services portal, you will need to create a new login profile to access our new system.

In addition to a new look and feel, the new MVTR portal introduces the following changes.

You will need to log in with a RealMe® account and set up your access

You will need a RealMe® account to set up a login profile in the new MVTR portal.

You can use your existing RealMe® account to access our online system if you have one. Your RealMe® account doesn’t need to be a verified account, and you don’t need to create a new account just for using this portal.

If you do not have a RealMe® account, you can follow the instructions on our website to create one.

Create a RealMe® login

Once you have logged in with your RealMe® account and created your login profile in the new MVTR portal, you can use your Motor Vehicle Trader Key (“MVT Key”) to set up your access to your company or individual registration, if you have one:

  1. Under the Online services menu item at the top of your dashboard, select Search the Register. This will bring you to the Motor Vehicle Traders Register search screen.
  2. Search for the Motor Vehicle Trader registration you would like to set up access for, and view the details of that registration.
  3. In the registration details page, click the Request access button. This will bring you to an Access details page.
  4. Enter your MVT key for registration.
  5. Click the Submit button to complete your request. If your MVT Key is correct, this will display a message indicating that your access has been granted.

More information about setting up your login profile and access can be found on our website.

Statutory declaration documents included with application forms

Some applications or changes will require you to provide us with a completed statutory declaration.

Under the process for our old portal, you would first need to submit an application to us, after which we would provide you with a statutory declaration to complete for that application.

Our new MVTR portal now generates a statutory declaration as you fill out your application. This will allow you to download and complete that statutory declaration, then upload the completed copy and submit this as part of your application.
